This invention will help reduce mortality rate in new born babies.
Solar Powered Neonate Phototherapy Device Station was developed for effective treatment of Neonate Jaundice in remote areas where electricity is not readily accessible. Neonate Jaundice is caused by high level of bilirubin in the blood (a yellow pigment produced during normal breakdown of red blood cells). over 80% of new born babies die of jaundice in the rural parts of Nigeria yearly. This invention contains up to six phototherapy units (enabling up to six patients same time).
